Welcome to Aureader. We are a small Spanish team building a tool we wished existed: a place to drop the books, articles, and PDFs piling up on your reading list and just press play.
Why we built it
Most of us already use audiobooks for the books in someone elses catalogue. The problem is everything ELSE we want to read: industry reports, that 80-page PDF your boss sent, the Substack you have been meaning to finish, the novel only available in French. None of that fits into the audiobook subscription model.
We thought: what if you could turn ANY document into audio that sounds genuinely human, in your language, with a voice you actually like?
What is in the box today
- Upload PDFs, EPUBs, DOCX, plain text, or paste a URL
- 30+ voices across 12 languages
- Listen on web + Android with progress sync
- Pick page ranges so you do not have to re-listen to chapters you already covered
What is next
- iOS app (after the closed beta wraps)
- Voice samples on the picker so you can hear before you choose
- More voices, more languages
